Día de Muertos// Ofrendas

"Día de Muertos" es una tradición muy especial aquí en México, ya que representa el recorrido que hacen los muertos con el fin de visitar a los vivos. 'Este 'viaje' requiere de una ofrenda a los muertos, que consiste en colocar en el altar algunas frutas, pan, su alimento favorito, velas, incienso y flores de cempasúchil. Como se trata de una festividad importante, en la calle Álvaro Obregón en la Ciudad de México, había muchos altares que representan esta hermosa y colorida tradición.

"Día de Muertos" is a very special tradition here in Mexico, since it represents the journey that the dead do in order to visit the living. This whole 'trip' requires of an "ofrenda" (offering) to the dead, which consists on putting in the altar some fruits, bread, their favorite food, candles, incense and cempasuchil flowers. Since this is an important festivity, in Álvaro Obregón street in Mexico City, there were many altars representing this beautiful and colorful tradition.

El fin de semana pasado por fin llegó a México Forever 21, una de nuestras marcas favoritas. 

La cita para la gran apertura fue a las 11 de la mañana en el centro comercial Paseo Interlomas para lo cual F21 organizó un evento en Facebook asegurando que ninguna fashionista se perdiera ésta gran fiesta, además advirtió que las primeras 400 personas en la fila recibirían tarjetas de regalo, por lo que ya se imaginarán la gran cantidad de chicas que asistieron. 

Después de esperar pocas horas en la larga fila por fin pudimos entrar y nos llevamos una gran sorpresa con los accesibles precios que la tienda ofrece, dónde las prendas mas caras no rebasan los $600. 

Esperamos que la tienda se mantenga exclusiva para evitar que toda la ciudad vista el mismo estilo, pero antes de que eso pase, les recomendamos mucho que visiten la tienda.

Finally last weekend,  Forever 21, one of our favorite brands, arrived to Mexico. 

The appointment for the grand opening was at 11 am at  Paseo Interlomas mall for which  F21 stage a Facebook event ensuring that all fashionistas were at the great party. The California brand warned that the first 400 people in line would receive gift cards. So, can imagine how many girls attended the event?

After waiting for few hours in the long line we finally entered the shop and we got a big surprise with the affordable prices that the shop offers, where the most expensive clothes do not exceed $ 600.

We hope that the store remains exclusive to prevent the city to star dressing the same style, but before that happens, we strongly recommend visiting the store.
