El Color en el Espacio y el Tiempo/Carlos Cruz-Diez

En esta ocasión asistimos a una exposición llamada "El Color en el Espacio y el Tiempo" por Carlos Cruz-Diez, quien es un artista venezolano cuyo trabajo se distingue por el arte óptico. Esta exposición tomó lugar en el MUAC y consistió en obras con diferentes capas de colores, interacciones visuales, con diferentes técnicas como proyección y pintura. Algo que llamó mucho nuestra atención fue el hecho de que logramos apreciar el color desde diferentes puntos de vista. 

This time we attended to an exhibition called "The Color in Space and Time" by Carlos Cruz-Diez, who is a Venezuelan artist whose work is distinguished by the optical art. The exhibition took place at the MUAC and consisted of works with different layers of colors, visual interactions with different techniques such as projection and painting. Something that caught our attention was the fact that we appreciate the color from different points of view.

Polyforum Siqueiros

El Polyforum Siqueiros es un lugar donde se realizan diferentes actividades culturales, en las que destacan las obras de teatro y exposiciones artísticas. Este recinto adquirió este nombre debido al gran mural que tiene en su exterior, el cual fue revelado en 1971. Este mural realizado por el pintor y muralista mexicano David Alfaro Siqueiros, quien quería expresar las ideas de libertad y justicia en Latinoamérica. En esta ocasión tuvimos la oportunidad de presenciar las obras e instalaciones artísticas de Anibal Catalan.

Les recomendamos ampliamente visitar este hermoso edificio, el cual contiene una gran expresión artística.

The Polyforum Siqueiros is a place with different cultural activities, which include plays and art exhibitions. This museum acquired this name because of the large mural that is on the outside, which was revealed in 1971. This mural by the Mexican painter and muralist David Alfaro Siqueiros, expresses the ideas of freedom and justice in Latin America. This time we had the opportunity to witness the works and art installations of Anibal Catalan.

We highly recommend visiting this beautiful building, which contains a great artistic expression.

Las Apariencias Engañan// Frida Kahlo

"Las apariencias engañan" es una exposición en la que nuevas prendas del guardarropa Frida Kahlo se encontraron después de 50 años. El Museo Frida Kahlo y la revista Vogue México, en asociación con BMW presentan esta exposición, donde se puede llegar a conocer otra faceta de esta artista mexicana y su relación con la moda. Tuve la gran oportunidad no sólo de visitar el museo y admirar toda esta hermosa ropa, pero también para ver las creaciones de los grandes diseñadores como Jean-Paul Gaultier y Riccardo Tisci (Givenchy). Por desgracia, no pude tomar muchas fotos como me hubiera gustado, debido a la fragilidad de los tejidos, pero logré tomar algunas. Perdón por la mala calidad de las fotos.

Les recomiendo esta exposición, es hermosa, encantadora, llena de cultura, de colores y de moda.

"Las Apariencias Engañan" is an exhibit in which new garments from Frida Kahlo's wardrobe were found after 50 years. Frida Kahlo's Museum and Vogue Mexico magazine in association with BMW present this exhibition, where you can get to know another side from this mexican artist and her relation with fashion. I had the amazing opportunity not only to visit museum and admire all these beautiful clothes but also to see the creations of great designers such as Jean-Paul Gaultier and Riccardo Tisci (Givenchy). Unfortunately I wasn't able to take many pictures as I would liked to, because of the fragility of the fabrics,  but I managed to take some. Sorry for the poor quality of the photos.

I highly recommend this exhibition, it is beautiful, lovely, full of culture, colors and fashion.

TRIÁNGULO POP-UP STORE▼

El pasado 15-16 de diciembre tuve la oportunidad de asistir a la Triángulo pop-up store,  el cual es un concepto en el que por dos días se instala una tienda donde podemos conocer los nuevos diseñadores y talentos mexicanos. En esta ocasión participaron muchos diseñadores e ilustradores entre los cuales están Diego Dom, Titina, Axcel PepeNaut, Vintage lunettes, Indi Maverick, Moksha, Curiously, TANgerineCo, Yago Yago Yago y Jacobo Toledo.

On December 15-16, I had the opportunity to attend to the "Triangle pop-up store", it is a concept in which for two days a store is installed, so we can learn about new designers and mexican talent. On this occasion many designers and illustrators attend such as Diego Dom, Titina, Axcel PepeNaut, Vintage lunettes, Indi Maverick, Moksha, Curiously, TANgerineCo, Yago Yago Yago y Jacobo Toledo.

MBFWM// Day 1: Backstage

La semana de la moda en México comenzó el pasado lunes 12 de noviembre y se extenderá hasta el viernes 16, nosotras ya trabajamos para presentarles lo mejor de éste gran evento. Por ahora queremos presentarles un preview de las pasarelas del lunes.
Tuvimos la oportunidad de estar en backstage del primer día de MBFWMX! fue una experiencia increíble que disfrutamos muchísimos, ya que nunca habíamos vivído algo así, nos fue posible apreciar lo difícil que es preparar algo tan importante como es la Fashion Week, porque se requiere de mucha precisión y cuidado de los detalles.

No se pierdan las siguientes notas con más sobre la semana de la moda en México!

Mexico´s Fashion Week began last November 12 and it will continue until Friday 16, we are already working to introduce you the best of this great event. For now we want to present you a preview on monday´s runways.
We had the opportunity to be at MBFWMX  backstage on the first day of the event! It was an amazing experience that we enjoyed a lot, we had never experienced anything like this, During the rehearsals we were able to appreciate how difficult it is to prepare something as important as the Fashion Week, since it requires a lot of accuracy and attention to every detail.
