Infinity es una boutique Mexicana con propuestas muy interesantes que reúne varios diseñadores independientes y nos ofrece una colección con estilos grunge y punk.

Además de llevar la tienda, Victor López y Gilberto Barragán son creadores de VOID, una línea de bodies y leggings donde lo mas importante son los innovadores materiales que dan texturas muy originales a su colección. 

Victor López, también se ha involucrado en el diseño de joyería, calzado y estampado. Ahora, productos hechos por él como creepers, anillos y playeras estampadas son parte de la tienda. 

PDC: ¿En qué se inspiran para sus diseños?
Víctor: La texturas son la mayor inspiración ya que es lo mas importante en los diseños VOID

PDC: ¿Por qué se llama infinity?
Víctor: Decidí darle éste nombre por una canción que me gusta mucho. 

PDC: ¿Cuándo y cómo empezó la tienda?
Antes trabajabamos con Vértigo pero con el tiempo logramos rentar un local y fue en agosto del 2012 cuando comenzamos con infinity. Empezamos vendiendo marcas como Givench que tuvieron mucha demanda, después trajimos artículos que sólo se consiguen online e invitamos a varios diseñadores a colaborar.

PDC: ¿Cómo escogen la ropa ?

Victor: La ropa que vendemos la elegimos por gusto personales e inspiraciones.

PDC: ¿Cuál es el propósito de su marca?
Victor: Crecer y empezar a distribuir en otras tiendas.

Entre las marcas que colaboran con Infinity está la joyería de Giovana Razgado y la línea de ropa Is Navidad.

Infinity is a Mexican boutique  that gathers independent mexican designers and presents us a collection with grunge and punk styles.

Besides leading the store, Victor Lopez and Gilberto Barragán created VOID, a line that offers bodies and leggings on innovative materials that give very original textures to the collection.

Victor Lopez, is also involve in  jewelry design, shoe making and textile printing. Today, his products, such as creepers, rings and patterned shirts are part of the store.

PDC: What inspires VOID designs?

Victor: The textures are a major inspiration because they are the most important element in VOID garments.

PDC: Why did you called Infinity Store?

Victor: I decided to give this name because of a song that I really like.

PDC: When and how did the store began?

Away back we worked with Vertigo but eventually we rent space and it was in August 2012 when we started Infinity. In the beginning we sold brands such as Givench which had a high demand, then we brought items that are only available online and then we invited several designers to collaborate with us.

PDC: How do you choose the clothes?

Victor: We choose the clothes by personal tastes and inspirations.

PDC: What is the purpose of your brand?

Victor: Grow and begin distributing in some other stores.

Among the brands that collaborate with infinity is Giovana Razgado jewelry and clothing lines such as Is Navidad.

TRIÁNGULO POP-UP STORE▼

El pasado 15-16 de diciembre tuve la oportunidad de asistir a la Triángulo pop-up store,  el cual es un concepto en el que por dos días se instala una tienda donde podemos conocer los nuevos diseñadores y talentos mexicanos. En esta ocasión participaron muchos diseñadores e ilustradores entre los cuales están Diego Dom, Titina, Axcel PepeNaut, Vintage lunettes, Indi Maverick, Moksha, Curiously, TANgerineCo, Yago Yago Yago y Jacobo Toledo.

On December 15-16, I had the opportunity to attend to the "Triangle pop-up store", it is a concept in which for two days a store is installed, so we can learn about new designers and mexican talent. On this occasion many designers and illustrators attend such as Diego Dom, Titina, Axcel PepeNaut, Vintage lunettes, Indi Maverick, Moksha, Curiously, TANgerineCo, Yago Yago Yago y Jacobo Toledo.

Alebrijes

En octubre de éste año mas de 200 participantes crearon monumentales alebrijes los cuales desfilaron por la ciudad de México para después exhibirse en varios puntos céntricos de la ciudad. 

Los alebrijes son esculturas de artesanía mexicanas originarias del estado de Oaxaca, originalmente las estructuras son talladas en madera de copal para después ser pintadas con pigmentos naturales, pero también existen alebrijes hechos con estructura de alambre recubiertas de papel maché y decoradas con pinturas acrílicas. 

Los alebrijes son seres imaginarios resultado de la mezcla de diferentes especies, el concepto fue creado por Pedro Linares en 1936 después de haber tenido un sueño durante un fuerte estado de inconsciencia debido a una enfermedad, en el sueño Pedro pudo ver animales con figuras extrañas y colores sumamente intensos. 

In Octobe of this year more than 200 craftworkers took part creating monumental alebrijes which paraded through Mexico City and later were exhibited in several central city points.
The alebrijes are mexican handicraft sculptures originated in Oaxaca state, the structures are originally carved in copal wood and then painted with natural pigments, however there are alebrijes made with wire structure covered with paper mache and decorated with acrylic paints. 
The alebrijes are imaginary beings that result from the mixture of different animal species, the concept was created by Pedro Linares in 1936 after having a dream during a deeply state of unconscious due to an illness, in the dream he could see strange animal figures in very intense colors.
 

Mi outfit: Recientemente conseguí éstos increíbles leggings con texturas a la cintura y los lados, éstos detalles me recordaron mucho a las pieles y escamas de los alebrijes que visité y como siempre me gusta traducir el arte que veo a mis outfits decidí usarlos.

My outfit: Recently I got these amazing leggings with some textures in the waist and on the sides that reminded me a lot to the details in the skin and scales of the alebrijes, since I like a lot to translate the art I see into my outfits, I decided to wear them.

Sumi Ink Club

Sumi Ink Club es un proyecto artístico creado en Los Angeles por Sarah Rara y Luke Fischbeck quienes han llevado el evento a varias partes del mundo. Todo consiste en reunir personas de todo tipo de estilos y edades para realizar un dibujo colaborativo.

La dinámica empezó en las instalaciones Cultura Colectiva (CC186) al tomar  un pincel y un poco de pintura, si  no fuiste puntual tal vez hayas tenido suerte en encontrar un buen espacio en blanco y si no se te ocurría nada qué pintar  siempre estaba la opción de completar los otros dibujos para integrar todos los diseños. 

Fue muy agradable convivir con personas desconocidas y con ideas tan diferentes para al final lograr una composición tan completa. 

Sumi Ink Club is an art project created in Los Angeles by Sarah Rara and Luke Fischbeck which involves bringing together people of all styles and ages for a collaborative drawing.

The dynamic began at Cultura Colectiva (CC186) when you took a brush and some paint, if you weren´t on time you may have been lucky to find a good blank space and if you can not think of  anything to draw there was always the option of completing the other drawings to integrate all the designs .

It was very pleasant to live with strangers and with very different ideas for the end achieve as complete a composition.

Mi Outfit: Una de mis tendencias favoritas para ésta temporada es la Imperial, especialmente por el uso de terciopelo y bisutería maxi, en esta occación decidí combinarla con animal print. 

My Outfit: one of my favorite trends for this season is the Imperial, specially for the use of Velvet and maxi jewelry, this time I decided to match it with a sweater in animal print.
