Explosiones Simultáneas, un blog dedicado a la moda, donde Andrea nos escribe sobre nuevas tendencias, catwalks, diseñadores y su estilo personal siempre con críticas muy interesantes.
El tema de la sesión fue la Geometría en la Naturaleza, personalmente me parece muy interesante la construcción del universo y la íntima relación que lleva con las increíbles posibilidades de la geometría.

I´m very pleased to show you a photoshoot I took with Andrea Benítez (aka. Auby). She is a fashion lover with a unique style and the author of Explosiones Simultáneas, a fashion blog where Andrea writes interesting reviews about new trends, catwalks, designers and her personal style.
The theme for the photoshoot was geometry in nature, personally I find very interesting the construction of the universe and the intimate relationship it has with the incredible possibilities of geometry.
Here are the photographs taken and edited by me and a text written by Auby where she tells us more about herself.
Soy Andrea Benítez (Auby), tengo 18 años, actualmente estudio la prepa y tengo una página donde escribo sobre moda (
explosionessimultaneas.com) que es tanto mi trabajo como mi pasatiempo principal, si no estoy leyendo algo estoy buscando blogs nuevos o escuchando música.
Comencé el proyecto hace un año porque tenía dos blogs en tumblr, uno dirigido a la moda y a la fotografía y otro en donde subía lo que escribo, entonces, me entró la necesidad de unir esas dos -pasiones- en un sólo blog, de ahí el nombre -Explosiones Simultáneas-. Buscaba escribir sobre mi visión de la moda, hablar de las mentes detrás de la industria y presentar el trabajo de artistas que a mi me ponen los pelitos de punta.
Definir mi estilo me cuesta muchísimo trabajo, no me visto dependiendo de las trends, en eso me identifico con Vivienne Westwood, me visto como disfrazándome de personajes diferentes dependiendo de mi humor y mis obsesiones momentáneas, eso sí, busco transgredir estéticamente por eso mi cultura favorita es la Punk; siento la necesidad de remarcar mi inconformidad con lo aburrido de lo preestablecido con la ropa. Mis ídolos son quienes me inspiran, admiro a YSL, Hedi Slimane, Alexander McQueen, Rei Kawakubo, Raf Simons, Cristóbal Balenciaga y a Nicolas Ghesquière.
Desde niña tengo una fijación por la moda, mi obsesión por las Barbies me llevaba a estar horas vistiéndolas y jugando con la ropa para crear cosas nuevas. Lo que más me gusta de la moda es que es genuina, te permite explorar, jugar con tus propios limites y expresar lo que quieras sin decir una palabra.
No puedo vivir sin mi chaqueta de cuero negra, unos botines negros que rezo porque nunca se desgasten y anillos.
A futuro tengo planeado realizar mucha foto junto con su estilismo, seguir con el blog, no dejar de escribir y si se puede colaborar con otros bloggers e iconos de la moda en México, creo que la industria de la moda en el país está creciendo mucho sin embargo siento que es un círculo un tanto cerrado en el que no se busca enseñarle México al mundo si no, al revés ¡Cuando acá hay mucho talento!
Mi deseo es expresar que hay grandes mentes en el país y que la moda es algo que la sociedad erróneamente tacha de ser superficial cuando es parte importantísima de la cultura y que es arte, una forma de expresión hermosa y genuina.

I'm Andrea Benitez (Auby), I am 18 years old, currently i´m finishing high school and I own a blog where I write about fashion (explosionessimultaneas.com) which is both, my job and my greatest hobby, you can always find me reading something looking for new blogs or listening to music.
I started the project a year ago because I had two tumblr blogs, the first one aimed to fashion and photography and the second one where I posted all my writings, then, a special need came to me to combine these two -passions- in one blog, hence the name -Explosiones Simultáneas (simultaneous explosions). Sought to write about my vision of fashion, talk about the minds behind the fashion industry and present the work of artists that gives me goosebumps.
Defining my style is really hard for me, I don´t dress depending on the trends, in this sense I identify with Vivienne Westwood, I dress up like different characters depending on my mood and my momentary obsessions, I´m always looking to transgress aesthetically, that´s why my favorite culture is the Punk, I feel the need to express my disagreement with the preset bored clothing by dressing different. My idols are the ones who inspire me, I admire YSL, Hedi Slimane, Alexander McQueen, Rei Kawakubo, Raf Simons, Cristobal Balenciaga and Nicolas Ghesquière.
Since i was a child I have a special fixation for fashion, my obsession with Barbies took me to spend hours dressing them up and playing with their clothes to create new things. What I love about fashion is that it is genuine, you can explore, play with your own limits and express what you want without saying a word.
I can not live without my black leather jacket, some rings in my fingers and a pair of black booties for which i pray not to wear down.
In the future I have planned to do a lot of photography along with fashion design,i want to go on with my blog, and keep on writing I would love to collaborate with other bloggers and fashion icons in Mexico.
I think the fashion industry in the country is expanding however I feel that it is somewhat a closed circle in which Mexico is not seeking to teach the world but backwards even though we have a lot of talent!
My desire is to express that there are great minds in my country and that fashion is something that society wrongly accused of being shallow when it is a very important part of culture, art and it is beautiful and genuine form of expression.
